Zippy!
Here a picture of my husband Brian, myself, and our golden retriever, Zip, last Thanksgiving. When we got him, our current golden was 13 years old, safely in his retirement years. I apologized to him for months for getting Zip, though I believe he breathed some life into our aging dog. We weren’t looking for another dog at the time, but a friend posted his picture in FB, and how could I turn down that smiling face?! New Year’s Resolution
Or should I say “Doctor’s Orders?” I was diagnosed with pre-diabetes in the fall of 2017. I have a family history – my grandfather had diabetes, my dad developed it later in life and my sister is also pre-diabetic. I’ve seen what people can go through with this disease and when my doctor said it could be reversed if I lost weight, I said: Ok – I’m in. Six months later and 23 pounds lighter, I am no longer pre-diabetic. Now, I’ve been a life long exerciser. I played sports in school, and continued with some form of exercise throughout my adult years – walking, biking, light running, swimming. I…
